This week we celebrated our one-year anniversary with our beloved Sila :) Holy cow, how time flies! We decided to honor the moment by recreating a few of our favorite photos so you could have some "Before/After" shots.
I guess she's all grown up now. She's no longer that tiny little thing we saw hopping around playfully at Hacienda Cusin in northern Ecuador.
Nor is she as timid. She was pretty confused when she first came to our house, had just spent hours traveling to get to us, and in general was stressed out. I don't think she knew what food was if it wasn't kitchen scraps. I remember having to hand-feed her the first few times.
By the third day in our home, she'd warmed up to us quite a bit. Our little hearts just smile every time we see that little tail wagging in the pic above...I think it was the first time she started to treat this place like it was home and like we were family.
She still loves to sunbathe, and has her favorite spots where the grass is matted down from use :)
And she still gives us some of the cutest/goofiest faces that make us laugh. Since it's rare to catch that little side smile she had with her lip tucked in just a little bit (which she still does!)...you'll just have to settle for an "after" shot that shows one happy dog!
Hope you all have an amazing weekend. And if you have a furry loved one, cuddle 'em real close!
