A Few Love Announcements Today...
-One of my friends just had her Brooklyn home featured on Cup of Jo. You may have already seen it. But if you're like me, you have to look twice. Because it is THAT good. I'm so thankful for all the parties, holidays, take out dinners, late night chats, and Biz Ladies Nights we've had there. (And now it's also fun to know the sources of some of my favorite items like that chandelier in her living room. :)
-The Evening Primrose Oil seems to be WORKING on my hair thinning situation!! It's been over 6 weeks now. And I no longer find myself standing in front of the mirror inspecting the unusual thinness. I'm feeling relieved. We'll see what happens over the next couple of months. I still have a doc appointment coming up though, for good measure. (By the way, people also use Evening Primrose Oil for balancing hormones & PMS, mood swings, menopause symptoms, and it even increases lubrication. The nearly 5 star reviews about it on Amazon are insane.)
-Gabrielle Blair (Design Mom) has written her first BOOK: How To Live With Kids: A Room-By-Room Guide. You can pre-order now. I think her husband's sweet note about it will have you sold- hook, line and sinker:
"I often can't believe that I'm connected to Gabby. And I can't imagine anyone has poured more of their heart and soul into a project like Gabby has for this book. I really am astounded that it's coming. And it is really, really good. For me reading drafts (and this is the story of my life, actually) I would finish a section and think: "How do you come up with these genius ideas/solutions? I could have spent 20 years and never come up with that--but it seems intuitive having seen it now..." I've been with her through all the parenting time, so it's not just the time on task that explains it. Anyway, all this is to say, if you like books featuring June's right hand on the cover, you will LOVE this."

-One of the creative writing geniuses in Brooklyn, Koseli Cummings of Original Archiving Co., recently moved to Berkeley, CA. She just started a new website called Bored Moms. And I see she's been linking to really great articles on the Bored Moms Facebook page, including one of the funniest things I think we've ever read: "The Day I Pooped My Closet." You will laugh so hard.
Love and happy weekend to all.
P.S. Body + Soul Camp begins NEXT FRIDAY!!! We have 10 people attending as of today. It's such an honor to be able to gather this group together. If you are thinking of still booking, you aren't the only one, actually! There are a few more people that are about to take the plunge and buy their tickets. Also, if money is a concern, know that this current detox retreat will be by far the least expensive one we'll be able to offer. We'd love to do a retreat like this in the states someday, but know that the prices will have to go up substantially due to costs of food, accommodations, chef, teachers, kitchen staff, masseuse, etc.
