Valentine’s Day is for lovers.
And delightful surprises.
And it ALL requires the most beautiful acts of vulnerability.
Oh, to love is to be vulnerable!
Eeks! Putting yourself out there can be SCARY at times – but it’s also the best! It leads to the best connections in life.
Yay for Valentine’s Day for encouraging us all to make it happen.
On this day, may we celebrate being vulnerable with each other!!
May we have the courage to do something kind. May we take a risk. May we bare our soul in some way. May we feel dumb if need be. May we love fully and unabashedly. And may this just be practice for some greater love throughout the year.
(See many posts on vulnerability here for some pep talks!)
Here’s what I want to do to be more vulnerable this year…
I want to dance like this more. It doesn’t happen as often as I’d like. You know, some mumbo jumbo about the stresses of life creeping in. (And yes, I feel like a vulnerable dork posting this. But it was filmed on a Valentine’s Day with Danny. And it’s what love looks like. And it just seemed to fit this post.)
What do you guys need to work on to be more vulnerable this year? Do share! Let’s all make it happen. Practice this weekend. More love all around.
P.S. We’ll be hustling all week during the retreat. But tonight we got to sit in this wood fired hot tub perched above some stunning, green Andean views. It was incredible. While chatting, Danny mentioned that the two of us began because we bore our souls in those love letters we wrote each other. And now we do the same now in the “letters” we write for all of you on this blog. Vulnerability has been very good to us.
