Where Did You Get That?

More awesome shoes!!

So, another stylish friend in Brooklyn was sporting these shoes one day and I immediately was drawn to them. They just seemed to have such good quality leather. I asked her where she got them, and of course, the answer was Frye. That company never ceases to amaze me with their good quality shoes. I have had some of their Dorado riding boots for years (one of my best shoe investments ever) and every time I take them in to get the soles maintained, the shoe cobbler comments on the boots and says the leather is AMAZING.

I knew I was going to need good walking shoes for South America, so I bought a pair of these shoes myself. The style is called Mindy Low. And, well, I love them. I normally wear an 8 or an 8 1/2, and these fit perfectly in the size 8. I wear them with socks or without. The leather will stretch a wee bit to fit your foot just perfectly. And I love it that the insides are also made of leather (instead of synthetics) so your foot can breeeathe!!

P.S. These shoes are on a very, very good sale right now at Zappos!! Much cheaper than the Frye website at the moment.

  1. Hi. I saw this post and that made me think of the shoes I happened to find that are very light, waterproof, not sure if they are breathable and decided to share: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/theutlab/light-wing-trainers-impossibly-light-tyvek-paper-s

What comes to leather shoes Ecco is my favorite. They make very good high heels that I use to ride my bike here in Iceland or just for going on walks. Feet never get tired.
