Rainbow in Manhattan

I just happened to come across this photo I have. This was the view from my office window one day. It was one of the most spectacular things I've ever seen. We all stood by the windows and just couldn't believe our eyes.

I just wanted to share this today as a token of hope for all of you and all of the experiences that you are facing. We know that through love, the most difficult experiences of life can also be the reason we experience the greatest moments of humanity. This may sound strange to some, but Danny and I pray for you (and the two of us) that we might more fully understand and live by the kind of love that makes that possible.

Hope you all have a great day,

  1. Hi Mara,

I just started following your blog and coming across this post made me just want to thank you. Thank you because although you may not know it, your simple words just gave me a bit of hope to get through my day and circumstance. Thank you xo

  2. I really needed to hear this. On a tough ride at the moment and needed this reminder, thank you!

  3. Thank you Mara. I read this yesterday, which was a particularly tough day. I co-worker and friend of mine took his own life last week. While I am grieving the loss, there are bigger issues at hand because I know that he was bullied and mistreated at work and that this contributed to his pain. He was a beautiful, giving person who suffered in silence and it's difficult to understand how human beings can allow these things to happen. I'm praying for that rainbow right now -- that hope that his sacrifice will somehow lead to more introspection and change in others and change in my profession. It's nice to know there are people like you and Danny out there.

We love hearing from you! We read each and every comment. Any topics you’d like us to write about? Let us know.
