Yellow Happiness

Today's yellow is more than just eye candy.  Keep reading along...there is so much behind the color yellow for a woman named Lisette Wolter-McKinley.  It will melt your heart.

"I recently spent some time in NYC and I feel as though the city just screams yellow.  From the subway grates, to the tax cabs and the glorious sunsets - everywhere I looked I saw yellow."  

 

 

"Also, my husband and I just had our first child back in October.  Unfortunately, I delivered him at 29 weeks because after a picture perfect pregnancy one day he stopped moving and ended up being a stillborn.  Such joy and heartbreak compressed into several months.

I also have a particularly special place in my heart for yellow because our nursery was gray and yellow.  I wore a yellow pencil skirt to my son's memorial."

We'll be doing the same.  Our dear friend Lavern just passed away.  And as we work with our fellow Brooklynites to plan the funeral and honor her amazing life, we're feeling much of the love and peace that Lisette described in her posts.
