This short film is really, really great.  A reader (Allysha Unguren) sent it to us and as I was watching it, Danny couldn’t help but join me to see what I was all smiling about.  We both loved it.  psssst….it has a surprise ending that is so cute.  It will brighten your day.  ENJOY!

P.S.  Danny & I got asked to speak at an LDS regional singles conference in Manhattan (for men & women) on September 15th from 1-4 pm.  It will be at a Mormon church across the street from Lincoln Center at 125 Columbus Ave.  And well, just in case some of you might want to attend, we asked the event organizers if we could invite you and they said YES. 🙂  So, you’re invited!  There will be hundreds of single people there from the tri-state area.  The scene will blow your mind, as it always did mine when I was single and making an appearance among that crowd.  But everyone is really kind.  Seriously.  I always felt grateful to have that resource for meeting a lot of really great people.  I’d love to hear if you plan to attend!

I don't know if you read this post…but it made me think of you and Danny.

I wish we lived close enough to go hear you speak. But for today, I'll be grateful that I have access to your blog. 🙂

Danny and Mara, I will be telling my parents about your speaking event, though they might show up without my tip anyway. They just drove away from their home in Utah and are headed to Brooklyn to begin their 3rd mission! Their assignment is to work with the young single adults and the Institute and Seminary programs. Keep an eye out for Elder and Sister Ahlborn in your neck of the woods!

Wow, that film is so great! It made me quite emotional actually…I've always found it hard to compliment people, it wasn't the norm in my family, however I see it as something to work on! Thank you for sharing!!

I loved the short film- why can't we have more people like that who can find tons of positive things to say to anyone they meet? I think the world would be a much happier place:).

Thanks for sharing that fun film! And I wish I could be in Manhattan to hear you speak. I took my first trip to NY this summer and loved visiting the singles wards. Good luck!
