HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY from Park Slope!  Danny & I are excited to spend the evening together.  My sweet husband has been planning a menu for the two of us & last night he showed me a line up of necklaces he had been searching for on e-bay for me so that I could choose one.  Soooo sweet :)  And Danny doesn't know it yet, but we'll be working on this after dinner (it's another little gift I got him.)  I think he'll like it.  He kinda has a thing for these.  :)
We hope you all have a little something fun to look forward to.  What are your Valentine's Day plans?

P.S.  If you need a date night idea for tonight, you could go to this FREE concert on the Lower East Side...my dear friend, Bianca Merkley, will be doing a Valentine's Day Show at Rockwood Music Hall.  It is bound to be awesome!

  1. I'm hoping we get to go out to lunch. After that it's all about getting lasagna made for the YW/YM Box dinner tonight.

Tonight we'll be at the church together fulfilling our callings, with 4 of our 5 kids in tow. That will be truly romantic!

  2. Have a wonderful dinner! That sounds so nice and is exactly what we're doing tonight... staying inside together.

Last night you were in my dream, Mara! It was so weird. Now I feel like we're best friends! :) We toured Philly together and even met Steve Martin (?) who was one of your friends. ha!

    1. Rik - that is too funny! And I'm sure we'd be friends. I've actually been wanting to go to Philly. We'll be going there next month, I believe.

    2. Awesome! There are tons of great things to do in Philly. Here's a favorite - when you come, make sure you check out the free student recitals at Curtis Institute of Music. Here's a link: http://www.curtis.edu/performances/student-recital-series/ Every single one I've gone to is phenomenal! Makes for a great cheap date night - a recital and some late appetizers or something. It's my favorite thing to do. :)

  3. Have a yummy dinner! Over in Clinton Hill, I'm going to try to make lobster tails with lots of extra butter.

I love that house. I think I read a few weeks ago that it's for sale! Let's buy it!

    1. Oh man, I'd love to buy a building. That has been my dream. Maybe I could still pull it off someday. I'd even buy a pink one. :)

  5. Sounds like a wonderful way to celebrate your love! I wrote a public love letter to my Josh on my blog today and tonight we're going out to an arcade to enjoy dinner and some friendly competition! I hope you have a wonderful Valentine's Day!

  6. Your gift to Danny is a great idea! My husband loves those too, I should remember that! but he also has a telescope that I'm always too sleepy to look through with him, so for Valentines we might bundle up and do a star party this weekend with his favorite star shaped sugar cookies, followed by some episodes of Star Trek :)

But for tonight we are having a salmon dinner with my family. I love spending Valentines with family.. it's the holiday for all those we love!

  7. Love all of the hot pinkness in the above photo.

I've been writing about the holiday all morning and afternoon, so now I'm actually going to DO Valentine's Day : )

My Love is making an amazing dinner and we're staying in.

    Happy Valentine's evening to you.
